Any blacksmith can call a knife something boring like “chef’s knife”, “utility knife”, “hunting knife”. But we know every blade needs its own name. All of our blades have names written in another tongue, because “Koftis Lachanikon” has a much better ring to it than “vegetable slicer.”

“Hand forged” is a subsection of “Hand Crafted”. If a knife is hand forged you know that it has been created through traditional blacksmithing methods. A knife that has been “Hand Crafted” may have been hand forged, but there is also a possibility that the craftsman is using a blank which only needs sharpening and (in some cases) a handle. Leaping Dog Forge DOES NOT use blanks.

That depends. If you simply request a bulk order of something we already sell (hooks, hairpins, etc…) you will be charged the standard fee for each object. More complex projects such as knives, or something we do not already sell have the potential to be more expensive.
